"I hold Dr Page and the Colorado Equine Clinic near and dear. They've
always been there for me, and over the years have worked to keep my
dressage gelding healthy and comfortable in his work. After one recent
chiropractic session, the chiropractor thought there were issues in my
horse's stifles and hocks. I called Dr Page immediately, and when she
looked closely during his exam she made the comment "I'm not so sure
about that." She further diagnosed my gelding with a problem in his
hips, and after on-site radiographs, and an on-site injection, I have a
much more able and content horse. I couldn't be happier with the care
and concern from Dr Page and her staff...I trust them completely and am
grateful to have them as a resource." --Cathy Van Berg, Castle Rock, CO |

"Thanks to Dr. Page, Meg and Mireille for being there for me when my mare had an adverse reaction to her flu shot. Knowing I had recently lost my previous horse, Dr. Page offered to reschedule her flight to New York if I needed her - while she was on the way to the airport! That meant so much to me, and I realized how much Dr. Page understands the horse-human bond." --Beverly Swanson |

"Dixie was colic-y on & off for almost 2 years, she was so sick...she would colic about once every week or two, lost about 300 lbs. We were so afraid we were going to lose her. We were told she just had ulcers, we went through a thousand $$ of Ulcer Gard. We decided to get a 2nd opinion & took her to Dr. Page, best decision ever! Dr. Page worked with CSU's Dr. Landolt & found out she had a sluggish cecum.Without their help we could not have achieved RMDS Training Level Champion. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving our Dixie back to us." -- The Eberhardts |

| "I am a life-long owner of horses and animals, so my experience with the world of veterinary science has been long and varied. CEC became my primary center of equine veterinary care about five years ago when a thoroughbred mare I had purchased suffered an injury, resulting in chronic lameness. Dr. Page and the entire staff at CEC have worked extremely patiently and tirelessly in the effort to help this mare and my other three horses. What I appreciate most is the willingness of Dr. Page to continue to look for new treatments, as well as bringing reasoned confidence that the situation is not hopeless. Also as impressive as her educational knowledge, is Dr. Page’s relentless participation in continuing education and the exploration of new research and developments in the equine field. Dr. Page works unremittingly at bringing the latest and most innovative methodologies to the clinic. She is passionate about what she is doing; this is not just a job to her, but something she lives for and believes in completely. Her leadership and energy impacts all of the staff at CEC, creating an atmosphere of dedication and focus toward the well-being of the clients and their horses. Colorado Equine Clinic has become more than just a veterinary hospital for me, but also a community of support and friendship. " --Debra Hayes | |
| "I have utilized the services of Colorado Equine Clinic (CEC) and whether it has been routine care or an emergency, Dr. Barbara Page and her staff have been there for me. Dr. Page is an extremely experienced equine vet and in great demand but that does not stop her from making you feel like your horse's problem (no matter how insignificant) has her full attention. Dr. Page is always researching new cutting edge treatments, new technology and new products but in the end it is her compassion and obvious concern for each of her patients (and the human's involved) that never ceases to amaze me. My mare, Fabiola, was one of the first horses that Dr. Page used Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments on. Rather than inject her joints with steroids, this treatment used my own mare's concentrated platelets to promote healing, it has almost magical results. This spring, Fabiola tore her deep digital flexor tendon. The treatment for this usually involves at least 6 to 9 months of stall rest, poultices and wraps and then a long rehabilitation period. Dr. Page suggested we try PRP to heal the injury which was very visible on the ultrasound image. I don't know the end of the story yet but we are 3 months post injury and my mare is almost ready to go back to her dressage career. She able to walk, trot and canter and the ultrasound images are looking great. I also have Boris Badenov, a 33 year old horse who developed severe periodontal disease. Dr. Page asked around the veterinary community and one day a huge jug of "Happy Mouth", a product that is poured into the horse’s water tank appeared unexpectedly via UPS. I am happy to report that it has really helped Boris's gum health. During other visits I have met Dr. Rice, Dr. Johnson, various interns, veterinary technicians, and the people who keep the clinic running smoothly. They were all wonderful people that made me laugh, provided knowledge or sometimes just a great hug. I am very happy to feel like part of the CEC family!" --Susan Smith, Parker, Colorado | |
| "I have been a client of Barbara Page’s for the last six years since she first did the prepurchase exam on my horse. We bought him as a competitive jumper and he has been faithfully doing his job ever since. The only reason that my horse is still sound is because of Barbara and her excellent team. Between her skilled lameness diagnostic skills, injections, and her chiropractic capabilities, my horse has been able to continue doing his job as well as trail riding and more. After years of hock injections, Barbara suggested to me once again that we do a cunean tenectomy on him. I finally bit the bullet for the cost and her advice was just what he needed. After an easy standing surgery and an amazingly quick recovery, my horse who is twelve years old is moving better than the day I bought him six years ago. I never imagined that my horse would move with such fluidity and comfort in his stride. I am amazed at the results and so thankful to Barb and her team for keeping my horse healthy and sound through the years. The quality of service, compassion, and concern that Colorado Equine Clinic provides surpasses the rest. " --Amy Scott |
