Dr. Molly Afshar graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2024. She completed a mixed animal Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine course through Chi University during her time in veterinary school and has been using alternative medicine to help
large and small animals. Following graduation, she completed a one-year rotating equine internship at Woodside Equine Clinic in Ashland Virginia. At Woodside she built knowledge in surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine, sports medicine, reproduction and primary care.
Her interests include preventative medicine, alternative medicine, dentistry, emergency medicine, and sports medicine. Dr. Afshar has also
been involved in a research program through the International Foundation for Equine Podiatry Research since 2020.
Dr. Afshar worked as a small animal technician for three years before starting as an equine technician at Colorado Equine Clinic in 2019 and returned to work for CEC as an associate veterinarian in 2025 following veterinary school and her equine internship.
Dr. Afshar’s driving passion is to help people and their horses. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her own horse, Zorro, her dog, Rumi, and her cat, Miss Kitty. She also enjoys spending time in nature and reading books.
