Comprehensive Reproductive Care for Mares
Complete care from breeding management to foaling support. We provide individualized planning with advanced diagnostics to optimize fertility, timing, and outcomes.
Our reproductive services include ultrasound monitoring, breeding soundness evaluations, mare reproductive examinations, pregnancy monitoring, foaling and neonatal support, and stallion collection and evaluation.
Breeding Management and Ultrasound Monitoring
We offer full reproductive ultrasound examinations to assess the uterus and ovaries and track each mare’s cycle. Ultrasound allows us to monitor ovarian follicles, coordinate semen ordering, and plan the timing of insemination.
CEC offers a package that includes an initial health exam, insemination, palpations, ultrasound, post-insemination examination, and antibiotics when indicated. For mares facing reproductive challenges, we also offer uterine swabs, cytology, and biopsies to help identify potential causes of difficulty conceiving.

Good mare management is one of the best investments you can make. A thorough history, reproductive examination, and thoughtful breeding plan help identify the factors that can affect fertility and pregnancy outcomes.

Pregnancy and Foaling Support
After insemination, pregnancy confirmation is commonly performed by ultrasound at approximately 14–17 days of gestation. Follow-up examinations help confirm ongoing viability and identify concerns such as twins early.
We can create a double stall in our barn so your mare can stay with us for close observation around the time of foaling. Our team is here to support your mare and foal through this important stage of care.
Care Throughout Pregnancy
Care plans are tailored to each mare and may include guidance on nutrition, vaccination, deworming, exercise, artificial lighting, and timing of ovulation. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions through breeding, pregnancy, foaling, and neonatal care.
